Season ticket statement from Stevie Brown – he listens… well done!

Yesterday Saints released a statement on season tickets as follows.  Today was meant to be the last day for getting the free ticket for the home Europa league match against our Turkish opponents, however, given the current circumstances, this has been extended.

The statement reads:

After a perhaps understandably sluggish start, sales of season tickets for the new campaign have picked up in recent days and many Saints fans are clearly looking forward to the new season and all that it entails.

Fans will be aware that the club previously advised that if a season ticket was purchased before Wednesday 11th July that the first home Europa League game would be included and we are pleased to announce today that that deadline has been extended by one week to Wednesday 18th July.

Chairman Steve Brown said: “I’m keen for as many fans as possible to be able to get the European tie included in their season ticket package and having the away leg first gives us more scope to do that.”

The club is also keen to again emphasise that assistance can be given to supporters who may be holding off on purchasing a season ticket because of financial constraints. Although the deadline for the payment plan for Zebra Finance has now passed the club remains happy to accept applications from fans who wish to split the cost of their season ticket into two installments. This particularly applies to but is not exclusive to family groups who may wish to use the Ormond Family Stand in the season ahead.

Steve continued: “We are very aware of the need to be as flexible as we can so please do not rule out your ability to purchase a season ticket without first speaking to our Ticket Office on 01738 455000.”

The word on the street is that Saints are allowing tickets to be paid for in 3 installments…  A down payment now, followed by payments in August and September.  In addition, they are listening to the concerns over the Rangerstaxcase problems and allowing fans to make a decision after this Friday’s meeting.

We are very quick to slaughter them when they get things wrong… but this is a fantastic response and shows Steve really means to listen to our views.

Stevie – well done.
