Vaasa… First Euro Adventure in decades!
VPS Vaasa… a small town in the North West of Finland was the first stop on the Saints 1999/2000 European Adventure. And oh boy was it fun! REALLY Fun!
One teeny weeny problem though. No where can I find the actual original report of the trip! Its not on my old hard drive, and it is not archived on the usually reliable archive.org. DISASTER.
What I do have is all the raw photo’s taken from the memorable week – just see the gallery below.
From the legendary night in O’Malley’s Irish Pub (they ran out of beer if I remember correctly!) to the one mile march from the town square, led by bagpipes, to the stadium on match day (stopping the traffic along the way for the obligatory ‘sit down if you hate Dundee’ sing song!) – enjoy!
I also rediscovered the match report (as if that matters!) that was originally posted on StJohnstone.com back in the day!
